Cocos nucifera je vlhkomilná palma, je to symbol exotiky. V mládí má listy srostlé, v dospělosti je má zpeřené. Tato palma je jedna z nejužitečnějších na světě. Moje zkušenost: Přinutit ke klíčení kokosový ořech není tak jednoduché. Nejlepší je zakoupit si vyhřívanou podložku, kterou se bude ořech vyhřívat. Zkoušel jsem více pokusů, ale ve většině případů ořech zplesnivěl.
